I understand all ticket sales are final. All fees and associated costs (including optional product purchases, spectator tickets, and on site accommodation), paid in registration for this Derby Fest event are not refundable. This includes but is not limited to change of mind for: injury, sickness, travel problems, choosing not to participate, scheduling conflict, change in life circumstances or your inability to attend Derby Fest FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER.

I understand ticket transfers are possible for Early Bird and all regular tickets for a fee of $25 (inc GST) before January 01/2018. Ticket transfers are NOT POSSIBLE for Pre Sale Tickets or any regular ticket after January 01/2017. Derby Fest reserves the right to refuse transfers at its sole discretion. To apply for a transfer contact Derby Fest at to arrange payment of the transfer fee.

I understand Derby Fest reserves the right to add, withdraw, reschedule or substitute coaches and/or vary the advertised program.

I acknowledge that the Derby Fest event, Roller Skating, Ramp Skating, Fitness Training and Roller Derby is a full contact sport that carries with it inherent risks of physical injury and even death. To the extent permitted by law I agree that Derby Fest and its affiliates and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, insurers, spectators, co-participants, equipment suppliers, coaches and volunteers shall be excluded from liability for ordinary negligence in the conduct of the Derby Fest event.

I understand all on skates classes with the exception of the Junior program are only available to skaters 18 and over.

I understand the junior program includes 1X 1.5hr class each day as well as spectator access to all classes, off skates seminars and feature games. Juniors will need to be insured for contact and scrimmage ready. I understand no other on skates programs are included in junior entry. I acknowledge juniors need to be directly supervised by an authorised guardian at all times while at the event.

I understand the ‘Fresh Meat’ program includes 1X 1.5hr classes per day as well as spectator access to all classes, off skates seminars and feature games. No other on skates classes are included.

I understand ramp tickets are valid for ramp skating and spectator access to all classes, off skates seminars and feature games. No other on skates classes are included. I also understand I will need personal injury insurance for ramp skating at Derby Fest or I will need to pay an additional fee for event insurance cover.

• I acknowledge that Derby Fest recommends and encourages each client to get medical clearance from his/her personal physician prior to participation.

• I understand that it is my responsibility to continuously monitor my own physical and mental condition during the event, and I agree to withdraw immediately and to notify appropriate personnel if at any point my continued participation would create a risk of danger to myself or to others.

• I attest that I am covered by medical and personal injury insurance.

• In the event of an injury to me that renders me unconscious or incapable of making a medical decision, I authorise appropriate Derby Fest personnel and emergency medical personnel at the event to make emergency medical decisions on my behalf (including, but not limited to CPR and AED).

• I authorise Derby Fest to secure emergency medical care or transportation (i.e., Ambulance) when deemed necessary by Derby Fest.

• I agree to assume all costs of emergency medical care and transportation.

I understand that advice provided by coaches at Derby Fest is general advice only. It has been prepared without taking into account my physical condition, skating experience or personal needs. Before acting on this advice I will consider the appropriateness of the advice, having regard to my own physical fitness, skating ability and experience.

I understand that I am responsible for assessing my own skill and skating in the correct skill level classes. I further understand skill level advice offered by Derby Fest is a general guide only. I understand it is my responsibility to sit out of any class or drill I feel is challenging for me.

Rules: I agree to become familiar with and abide by all written and/or posted rules of Deby Fest. (“Derby Fest”), as well as all written and/or posted rules of the Venue. I further agree to comply with all directions, instructions and decisions of Derby Fest Aus and Venue personnel. I further agree not to challenge these rules, directions, instructions, or decisions on any basis at any time.

I specifically acknowledge and agree to abide by the following rules:
1) no skating is to take place outside designated training tracks and ramps; 2) all safety gear is to be worn at all times while skating; 3) no equipment or bags can be left in walkways or skating areas; and 4) obey civil and criminal laws including traffic laws.

I understand that Derby Fest and Venue personnel may immediately cause anyone who disobeys any rules, directions, instructions, decisions, or laws, or whose behaviour endangers safety or negatively affects a person, facility, or property of any type or kind, to be removed from the event.

I also agree to exhibit appropriate behaviour at all times; demonstrate respect for all people, equipment, and facilities; and participate with a cooperative and positive attitude.

I certify that on the date of the Derby Fest event will not be, under the influence of alcohol or any non-prescription drugs that would in any way impair my ability to safely participate in the Derby Fest event. I further understand that the consumption any alcohol and any illicit or illegal drugs or substances during the event is strictly prohibited. Derby Fest will only allow the responsible consumption of alcohol after the Derby Fest event. The consumption of any illicit or illegal drugs or substances before, during, and after the Derby Fest event is strictly prohibited. I agree to take full responsibility for any alcohol consumption at the Event.

I acknowledge that Derby Fest at its sole discretion may delay, modify, or cancel the Derby Fest event if conditions or natural or man-made emergencies make administering the event unreasonably difficult or unsafe. I agree that “emergency” is defined to mean any event beyond the control of Derby Fest, including but not limited to: high wind, extreme rain or hail, hurricane, tornado, earthquake, flood, acts of terrorism, fire, threatened or actual strike, labor difficulty or work stoppage, insurrection, war, public disaster, and unavoidable casualty. In the event of a delay, modification, or cancellation of the Derby Fest event as described in this paragraph, I understand that I will not be entitled to a refund of my entry fee or any other costs incurred in connection with the Derby Fest event.

I understand that Derby Fest has the authority to issue instructions or directions relating to the manner of my safe participation in the Event or Related Activities and the authority to halt my participation in the Event or Related Activities at any time they deem it necessary to protect the safety of participants, spectators, and personnel; and/or promote fairness and the spirit of Derby Fest.

I understand that any and all photographs, motion pictures, recordings, and/or likenesses of me captured during the Derby Fest event by Derby Fest, its affiliated entities or contractors, and/or the media become the sole property of Derby Fest. I grant the right, permission and authority to Derby Fest and its designees to use my name and any such photographs, motion pictures, recordings, and/or likenesses for any legitimate purpose, including but not limited to promoting, advertising, and marketing activities. I further understand that Derby Fest and its designees have the full right to sell and/or profit from the commercial use of such photographs, motion pictures, recordings, and/or likenesses.
